Zellige Collection

The Zellige Dinner Set is one of the Islamic Arts that was developed in Morocco during the 11th century. It consists of mosaic tilework made from individually chiseled geometric tiles set into plaster, to form geometrical patterns used to ornate walls, floors and fountains. this form of Islamic art is one of the main characteristics of the Moroccan architecture which uses simple material and primitive tools but depends a lot on the assiduous attention to detail of the craftsman. The cities of Fes and Meknas in Morocco remain the centers of this art.
