Decoration One Recognized for Its Contribution to Jordanian Design
Founded in Amman in 2010 by sisters Susanne, Suha, and Sally Baalbaki, Decoration One is a Jordanian design and homeware brand rooted in cultural heritage, contemporary creativity, and craftsmanship.
AD Middle East highlighted Decoration One’s participation in Amman Design Week 2026, particularly its creative initiatives that explore the relationship between material culture, Arab identity, hospitality, and memory.
The recognition reflects Decoration One’s continued commitment to connecting traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design.
Memory of Tomorrow: Exploring Contemporary Arab Identity
One of the key highlights of the feature was Memory of Tomorrow, an immersive concept store and exhibition hosted at Decoration One’s Wadi Saqra showroom in Amman.
Held from October 2–17, 2026, the exhibition explored contemporary Arab identity through material culture, craftsmanship, hospitality, and memory.
Through this experience, Decoration One invited visitors to discover how familiar materials, traditions, and personal histories can inspire new expressions of modern Arab design.
Lines Across the Desert: Inspired by Jordan’s Ancient Heritage
AD Middle East also featured Lines Across the Desert, a creative workshop hosted by Decoration One from October 3–16, 2026.
Inspired by Jordan’s prehistoric Desert Kites and Pendants, the workshop explored the relationship between ancient landscapes, cultural history, and contemporary design.
The initiative reflected Decoration One’s dedication to preserving connections with Jordan’s heritage while encouraging creative experimentation and new interpretations of traditional forms.
